GRANTS RESEARCH SPECIALIST


Summary

The Grants Research Specialist reports to the Associate Vice President for Research and Advancement. The Grants Research Specialist identifies external funding available through targeted federal, state, and private sources; maintains relationships with those sources; and provides technical support to the campus community in the areas of proposal development, budget development, proposal submission and post-award administration.


Qualifications

·Master’s degree in related area or a bachelor’s degree in related area with two years of related experience

·Exceptional writing, editing, interpersonal, computer, verbal, customer service and organizational skills

·Demonstrated ability to handle multiple deadlines in a climate of frequent change

Preferred Qualifications

·Working knowledge of principles, practices and procedures related to sponsored research in an academic environment

·Proven ability to work in a team environment
